DeskReady Employment Training Program
The DeskReady program is the first step of preparing individuals for job readiness and employment. The program is designed specifically to meet the unique needs of those who have been left out of the workforce by providing on–going support and targeted skill development to help prepare for lifelong employability.
- Focused on learning and practicing the soft and hard skills needed for readiness to interview for an entry-level Desk Clerk position as the first step on possible career pathways in hospitality or property management.
- Trainees gain knowledge and practice skills needed to be successful in the desk clerk position. Training also includes skill development in the areas of dependability, reliability, professionalism, initiative, problem solving, and decision making.
- Trainees receive one to one employment readiness support services throughout the entire process to assist with removing barriers and preparation for transitions into external employment.
- With a flexible, continuous enrollment schedule, new trainees enter the program weekly, while others graduate and move up the employment ladder into an on-call desk clerk position with Solutions SF.
